InstMC training
On 21st November the InstMC held a 1-day training in Warrington event on Functional Safety. This year’s title was “Hints, Tips and Pitfalls” and covered issues including Cyber security, compliance evaluation and product selection. The day was very successful with over 80 people in attendance. Feedback from the delegates has been incredibly positive and we are already discussing the plans for another similar event next year. Dave Ransome from P & I Design took part in the event as shown by the following picture.

P & I Design attended the Teesside Institute of Measurement and Control Exhibition in November 2018.

P & I Design introduces a comprehensive suite of software to provide designers and plant operators with the capability to meet the ever-increasing reporting demands of environmental legislation. Programs are stand-alone with individual report format and User Manuals with supporting documentation and theory. All are now web based and are and update to the original Envirokit suite.
Process Measurement & Control in Practice Second Edition Released
A Second Edition of the Process Measurement & Control in Practice book has been released.
The Second Edition has updated Section 2 Basics, with a detailed review of SI Units, Section 6 Measurement and Section 8.1 Process Control Fundamentals to provide a more comprehensive coverage of the theory and methods used.
TechTalk papers for the Institute of Measurement and Control
Our Senior Consultant John E. Edwards, in collaboration with David W. Otterson, has been involved in the preparation of a series of TechTalk papers for the Institute of Measurement and Control.This series of papers has been developed from P&I Design Ltd published book “Process Measurement and Control in Practice, 1st Edition, November 2013”
