Batch Fermenter Control

Jacket Service module designs are available for the temperature control of fermentation processes. Experience is available on sequential control of sterilisation procedures and nutrient addition programs using a wide range of programmable controllers.

Solvent Extraction

Processes involving the use of batch and continuous solvent extraction techniques have been implemented. Experience is available on solvent extraction in agitated vessels, mixer settlers and centrifugal extractors.

Granulation & Drying

Considerable experience is available on equipment selection and operation for granulation and drying of finished pharmaceutical products. Drying plant designs have been carried out involving the use of the following types of drying equipment: -

• Cone dryers and mixer dryers
• Fluid bed dryers

Powder Handling & Milling

Experience is available on a wide variety of powder handling, storage and milling systems. Dust explosion prevention is given detailed consideration at the design stage. Venting design to VDI 3673 is available.
